Go to https://devry.webex.com/join/jgolzy A Day in The Life of GlobalFoundries Technical Staff GlobalFoundries (GF) is one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers with 5 manufacturing sites across the globe. GF has nearly 10,000 patents, 15,000 employees, and was listed as GFS on Nasdaq in October 2021. Our current job opportunities include roles such as Technician (Equipment/Process/Facility), Engineering, and much more. GF offers careers! We pride ourselves on growing our talent through continuous learning, recognition of contributions and fostering career movement & achievements. We celebrate our employees. Join our presentation to learn about starting your career in the semiconductor industry! Speakers Bios: – Kyle Winter – Material Analysis Engineer– an engineer at GF since 2015 and a member of the Failure Analysis (FA) team since 2017. He enjoys the daily challenges that arise from performing FA and understanding the behavior of errant semiconductor modules. In the field of semiconductor FA, there are no routine requests. Every new module is its own adventure. – Jacob Troupe – Test Engineer – a member of the Inline Test (ILT) engineering team at GF for just over a year. He is part of a team that monitors a large fleet of tools that electrically test wafers during multiple steps of the wafer fabrication process. Additionally, Jacob writes programs and scripts to increase sector stability as well as handles some department logistics. – Chris Majors – Sr Manager Module Engineering – 22 years of Semiconductor experience between IBM and GF. Started as a Process Engineer who led 300mm BEOL CLNs sector with IBM before taking on multiple Management roles; currently managing the Equipment and Process Engineering Teams for multiple sectors at GF’s East Fishkill Fab10 site. – Christopher Pluchino – Sr Manager/Deputy Director of Engineering – graduated from DeVry Institute EE program in North Brunswick NJ in 1998. He was hired by IBM directly out of DeVry during an IBM recruiting event. He has worked at GF East Fishkill facility for almost 25 years. In his current role, Christopher more than 125 people reporting to him including managers, technicians, and engineers. Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/320078
