Currently, Dr. Berger is actively working on quantum tunneling devices, printable semiconductor devices & circuits for IoT, bioelectronics, novel devices, novel semiconductors and applied physics.
Webmin & WebEx Admin
Ian Oberdorf:
Ian Oberdorf is a CIS graduate from DeVry University Columbus. As a student of DeVry, he became the chair and web administrator of the DeVry IEEE Student Chapter. With his chapter falling apart due to classes moving to online environments Ian fought to rebuild the DeVry branch online and in his actions he accidentally gave the IEEE Columbus Section access to WebEx. An accident? How? Ian knew his branch would need an online meeting environment so he asked IEEE if it was possible if a student branch could have access to IEEE’s WebEx but they said only IEEE Sections were allowed access but the section could give him access, and the person he spoke with immediately brought the Columbus Section Chairs into the conversation. Unfortunately IEEE Columbus wanted this and when they were asked by the WebEx Admin who they would like as the section admin Ian offered to fill the role since he got them into what he feels was a mess. Since Ian joined IEEE Columbus the website had gone down and some people have presented problems they were trying to solve that Ian knew how to fix or help with. Two months after the website went down Ian was given access to rebuild the website and because of Ian’s knowledge the active chair of IEEE Columbus at the time Ian joined (Carl Lee) titled Ian as a godsend and Ian titles the WebEx accident as a godsend as well.

Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society
Nasser Kashou
Dr. Nasser Kashou has provided strategic planning and leadership across multiple institutions by establishing and leading several research groups, centers and labs. He has mentored, supervised and led hundreds throughout his career. Dr. Nasser Kashou believes that great leadership requires a high level of emotional intelligence and not the use of intimidation and manipulation. Selflessness allows you to accept other peoples ideas and most importantly keep your mind open to clearly see the long term vision that is of benefit to the whole, rather than one or two individuals.
Dr. Nasser Kashou highly encourages being a jack of all trades, we have an amazing mind with millions of neuronal connections. Let us use them and not be stuck in the mindset that we have to only specialize in one field. That’s narrow mindedness and stagnates true scholarship, a “racism of the sciences”. His education and skills are cross discipline (engineering, medicine, social sciences, etc…); in the biomedical realm this spans physics, math, hardware, software, anatomy, physiological and clinical aspects of research and development.
Finally, Dr. Nasser Kashou loves public speaking and giving presentations. Communicating our ideas verbally and eloquently are critical to success.
